HR-Prof 1 Litre
Clear Flame Retardant For Timber
HR-Prof is suitable for internal and external timber. It has non-flammable properties which restrict ignition and the spread of flame. The product is easy to apply, possessing high diffusion properties enabling it to quickly penetrate into the surface of the substrate.
HR-Prof is typically used on cladding, log cabins, garages, summer houses, staircases, bathrooms, saunas and pool enclosures. Critical engineering properties i.e. strength, durability, hygroscopicity and corrosivity are not compromised.
HR-Prof is renowned as a market leading flame retardant for timber having been applied to many prestigious projects including the Olympic Stadium.
Product benefits include:
- Fully tested on a range of timber substrates
- Fire properties will remain active for the lifetime of the substrate
- Ecologically friendly
- Solvent free
- For internal and external use

Certification: BS EN 13823 & BS EN 11925-2 SBI Euro class B-s1-d0 (equivalent to UK Class 0, BS467:Part6 & BS476:Part7).
It is imperative when selecting a flame retardant for timber that it has been fully tested on the substrate in question. For this reason HR-Prof has been tested on a wide range of timber substrates including Spruce, Pine, European Oak, Scotch Larch, Siberian Larch, Western Red Cedar and Birch Plywood.
The application rate is 3.7m² per litre and is usually achieved in approximately 3 coats depending on moisture content of the substrate and atmospheric conditions. Coats should be applied at intervals of a minimum of 1 hour giving a total coverage of 270ml m² (minimum). Do not mix with other solutions, stir well. Use brush, roller, spray (use appropriate mask when spraying), dip or vacuum method. Minimum temperature for application 5ºC
