100mm Rockwool RW4 (80kg) is a stone wool fire resistant thermal and acoustic insulation slab with the highest possible class A1 non-combustible fire rating used for a wide range of building applications.

Rockwool Stone Wool Insulation Slab if correctly installed exceeds the minimum requirements of the Approved Document E for a Rw 40dB, 41dB, 43db, 50dB and 55dB internal wall partition in dwellings.

Rockwool RW4 Insulation Slab is manufactured in 80kg density per m3 (cubic meter), specially designed for use in floors, roofs at rafter level, partitions, ceilings, timber and steel frame walls.

Stone Wool Insulation Slab RW4 is classified as Class ‘0’ to Building Regulations and can be used in ceilings, floors and walls to help sectionalize rooms, reducing fire spread and damage.

RW4 Slabs work in two distinct ways to reduce noise, either by impeding the transmission of sound through an element of the structure or by absorption of sound at the surface.

The structure of the fibres in RW4 slabs make them ideal for use as a sound absorber with water repellent qualities of the insulation preventing moisture build up, damp and rot.

RW4 (1200mm x 600mm x 100mm) is an unfaced, odourless, non-hygroscopic stone wool insulation slab with a certified thermal conductivity (lambda value) of 0.034W/mK.

Rockwool RW4 insulation slabs are made from natural, sustainable and recyclable resources and can be easily cut and shaped with a large bladed knife or saw.

These thermal and acoustic insulation slabs are free of CFCs and HCFCs and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.
