Sika® Backer Rod Fire is a circular, compressible, mineral wool based backing rod wrapped with a glass fibre yarn.

Sika® Backer Rod Fire is used as a:

• Backing rod for fire resistant joint sealing in horizontal and vertical building structure applications.
  
  
• Backing rod in conjunction with any Sika sealant including any Sika owned brands.

• The Product may only be used by experienced professionals.

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged packaging in dry conditions at temperatures between -20 °C and +70 °C. Always refer to packaging.

Dimensions

Reference must be made to limitations regarding dimensions and configuration described in the ETA 23/0088.

The Product must be installed at a minimum compression rate of 15 %.
