Clean the substrate before bonding. The surfaces to be bonded must be load-bearing, firm, and free of dust, oil, grease, release agents, and sintered layers, as well as any other non-adhesive components. Large depressions, such as gravel pockets or voids in concrete, must be filled beforehand. All metallic surfaces, such as aluminum or zinc components, must be free of oxide layers and release agents.

A TEROSON primer is required for mineral, weakly bound but load-bearing substrates. For low temperatures and damp substrates, TEROSON PR Primer M+S, compliant with DGNB, LEED, and BREEAM standards, is particularly suitable. 

After removing the 30 mm wide release liner strip, the sealing membrane can be applied cleanly and efficiently to the profile. It is applied by firmly pressing it down with a TEROSON hard rubber roller to prevent the sealing membrane from slipping during subsequent work. In the next step, the SK1 version is bonded to the building structure using TEROSON AD KDS FR. The system adhesive is applied in strips to the substrate using a hand-held or pneumatic gun (air pressure 0.5 to 5 bar). The TEROSON FO 1500 FR SK1 sealing membrane is then firmly pressed into the still-fresh, skin-free adhesive paste and rolled down using a pressure roller. We recommend a bond width of ≥ 30 mm on the building structure.
