Thermal Defense Wrap has been developed to prevent the passage of fire  and smoke between fire resisting compartments where there is a service penetration. TDW is designed to allow the movement services in use, maintain necessary insulation on services and prevent temperature rise of service on the cold face. At normal temperatures, remains flexible to permit thermal and mechanical movement of the services without causing cable to overheat and deteriorate. TDW is based ceramic technology of bio-soluble vitreous fibres and flexible organic binders and will maintain the compartmentalization for up to 2 hours.
